PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: March 28, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how LuminaCrowd handles information when you use the LuminaCrowd mobile app, the support website, and related support communications.

1. Quick Summary

LuminaCrowd does not require you to create an account to use the app.

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, and we do not use analytics or tracking SDKs in the current app build.

Camera access is used to scan host QR codes. Microphone access is used for Music Sync. Those inputs are used to power the feature locally on your device.

Creator Pack purchases are processed through Apple and RevenueCat so the app can unlock and restore paid features.

2. Information We Use

Camera access

When you choose to join a show by scanning a QR code, the app requests camera access. Camera input is used to read the invite code. We do not intentionally store your camera feed or upload it to our servers.

Microphone access

When you enable Music Sync, the app requests microphone access so it can react to live audio levels and beats. Audio input is used to drive light effects while the feature is active. We do not intentionally store audio recordings or upload microphone content to our servers.

Clipboard text

If you choose to paste an invite, the app may read clipboard text to help you join a show. This is used only to detect or parse an invite code locally on your device.

Local device storage

The app stores settings such as onboarding state and saved presets on your device so your experience works as expected across launches.

Purchase and restore information

If you buy or restore Creator Pack, Apple handles the transaction and RevenueCat helps us verify entitlement status and restore access to paid features. This may involve purchase identifiers, entitlement status, and device- or account-linked transaction metadata needed for billing support and restore flows.

Support communications

If you email us for support, we receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address and the contents of your request.

Website request data

When you visit this website, hosting and delivery providers may process standard technical request data such as IP address, browser type, and request logs to deliver and secure the site.

3. How We Use Information

  • To let you join a show by QR code or pasted invite.
  • To run Music Sync using live microphone input.
  • To save your local presets and settings on your device.
  • To unlock, restore, and support Creator Pack purchases.
  • To respond to support requests and troubleshoot problems.
  • To operate, secure, and maintain the support website.

4. Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell personal information.

We may rely on service providers or platform operators that process limited information to provide the app or site, including:

  • Apple, for App Store distribution, billing, and purchase restoration.
  • RevenueCat, for purchase entitlement management.
  • Hosting and delivery providers such as GitHub Pages and Cloudflare, for serving the website.
  • Email providers, when you contact support by email.

Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Data Retention

Local presets, settings, and onboarding state remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the app, or clear app data through your device settings.

Support emails may be retained as long as reasonably needed to answer your request, maintain support history, or comply with legal obligations.

Purchase and entitlement records are retained according to Apple and RevenueCat policies.

6. Your Choices

  • You can deny or revoke camera access in your device settings.
  • You can deny or revoke microphone access in your device settings.
  • You can avoid clipboard parsing by entering an invite manually instead of pasting.
  • You can delete the app to remove local app data stored on your device.
  • You can contact us to ask privacy questions using the email address below.

7. Children's Privacy

LuminaCrowd is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and publish the revised version here.
